Post-Doctoral Scholar

We are seeking a candidate with a Ph.D., M.D., (or equivalent) with training in bioinformatics, statistical genetics, computer science, computational biology, or a closely related field. The ideal applicant will have experience in analysis of single cell RNA-sequencing data, genome-wide association studies, next generation sequencing data, and machine learning. Experience in molecular biology or immunology is desirable.

The successful applicant will work in a thriving multidisciplinary research team (clinical, genetics, immunology, bioinformatics) to perform data analyses, and implement novel statistical methods relevant for genetic studies of skin diseases. The applicant will play a major role in determining new research directions and in drafting manuscripts and presenting results at professional meetings.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong track record of first author publications. Expertise in statistical and computational methods for complex, high-dimensional data is required. We seek a candidate with strong computer programming and scripting skills. The incumbent will be expected to work independently to complete data analysis.

Qualified candidates should e-mail a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and list of three references to Dr. Liao at [email protected] with “Bioinformatics lab application” in the title of the e-mail.
